In my role as Design and Production Manager at Home Energy magazine, my goal was to serve the unique needs of each article while upholding and evolving the visual identity of this 30-year-old publication. I aimed to communicate integrity, clarity, warmth, and a quiet playfulness in order to breathe life into the magazine's technical content.
To give every article its own feel, I drew inspiration from the colors, gestures, and moods of the photos and figures provided by the authors. I supplemented these items with photos, infographics, and illustrations of my own.
In addition to laying out the magazine itself, I also designed print and digital marketing collateral for the magazine, which included social media banners, house ads, emails, media kits, large print banners, and more.
