This chapbook by Amy K. Bell explores complex puzzles about femininity and relationships. In designing the cover, the book's content challenged me to visually reconcile themes of pliability vs. boundary, transparency vs. privacy, and individuality vs. interconnectivity. The title creates a kind of shield over the woman's chest, yet even the letters themselves cannot help but be impacted by their surroundings.
